How It Works
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, self-injury, or seeking support as a neurodivergent or LGBTQ+ individual, Capstone’s experienced team is here to help. The process begins with a simple online form, after which you’re matched with a therapist who best fits your needs. You’ll then schedule your first appointment, embarking on a journey of regular individual sessions.
For those who could benefit from peer support and more education to build skills, group therapy options are also available.
At Capstone College Care, you’ll find a safe space to address your concerns and develop the tools you need to thrive academically and personally.

You will be assigned a therapist based on your unique needs. If you think one particular therapist might be an exceptionally good fit for your needs, request them and we do our best to accommodate requests.
- During this initial appointment, your therapist will ask many questions to assess your needs, symptoms and if our services are the right fit for you
- Our team will work to refer you to another therapist if we see a better fit for your needs elsewhere.
- You will meet regularly with your individual therapist and/or group therapist
- Group therapy will help develop skills to manage anxiety, depression and eating disorder symptoms and and offer ideas about how to implement these skills to improve your life.
- Includes a structured meal group eating alongside others in a supportive environment to help challenge your eating disorder thoughts and behaviors to improve your relationship with food.
This is an effective way to help process your feelings and reactions with supplemental support from therapists and other group members.
Group therapy can be overwhelming, but earning from others with similar experiences while accepting and giving to others is extremely helpful throughout this process.
