Our model provides the most effective treatment for each participant’s specific needs. All of our services are unique to the individual student to help treat and overcome their health issues.

Neurodivergent Counseling

This concept focuses on the differences some students have in cognitive functioning. Neurodivergent counselings develop skills to focus on mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation along with therapeutic lifestyle changes, managing stress, and sensory needs.

Eating Disorder Counseling

Eating disorders often exist as a way to feel a sense of control or success, have a purpose, be “the healthy one” or to get comfort or attention. This counseling can help understand the underlying emotional and issues surrounding the disorder, including self-image issues. It also equips skills and strategies to address the condition and reduce risk of relapse.

Anxiety Counseling

Feelings of anxiety and stress are common with our daily demands but can become overwhelming and interfere with overall happiness or functionality. Anxiety symptoms can be mild, moderate or severe. Counseling can help better understand the interactions between thoughts, feelings and behaviors that may trigger symptoms, help identify and combat symptoms and learn techniques to reduce or prevent symptoms.

Depression Counseling

Most people experience some depressive symptoms at some point in their lives, whether mild, moderate or severe. Depressive symptoms may significantly impact function or happiness. Counseling can help better understand the interactions between thoughts, feelings and behaviors that may trigger, identify and combat depressive symptoms and learn techniques to reduce or prevent symptoms.

Self-Injury Counseling

Self-injury often offers a temporary sense of relief and a way to cope. Over time, the effectiveness decreases, and injury becomes more frequent or intense. We work with students to treat and coping skills for self-injury behavior, which can take time, hard work and desire.

Trauma Counseling

While not all trauma survivors experience long-term negative effects, we know that the experience can profoundly impact someone’s future. We work to challenge perspectives about the cause of the traumatic event and current thoughts and beliefs since. We also help address inaccurate beliefs and unhealthy behavior patterns.

LGBTQ+ Counseling

It is often difficult to be accepted and understood as a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer (LGBTQ+) individual. This counseling provides a safe, supportive space for those within the LGBTQIA+ community to address unique challenges and issues they may face related to their sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.
